Mostly this is just a thread for me to keep track of my predictions for boxing matchups. I've been right about my picks for several big fights which have gone against the conventional wisdom of experts and media pundits...

Fury beat Wilder (their 3rd fight)
Usyk beat Joshua
Kambosos Jr beat Teofimo Lopez
and just this last weekend I picked Bivol to beat Canelo Alvarez

But I'm not going to count those four on this thread. I'm starting fresh and this thread will serve as my record keeping and proof that I made my pick before the fight took place.

Upcoming fights....

• Charlo vs Brian Carlos Castano. Sat, May 14 2022. Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, California, USA. Showtime.
• Davis vs Romero. Sat, May 28 2022. Barclays Center, Brooklyn. 9pm ET Showtime PPV.
• Haney vs George Kambosos Jnr. Sun, Jun 05 2022. Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. ESPN.

I'm taking Charlo over Castano. This a rematch from their "draw" they had.
Davis will knock out Romero, maybe sometime after the 5th round.
Haney will beat Kambosos Jr. in a unanimous decision.

Once again, prophecy comes true! Haney beat Kambosos in a unanimous decision. 118 to 110, 116 to 112 and 116 to 112.

Next prediction:
June 7th 2022 -  Naoya Inoue vs Nonito Donaire II (WBA, WBC and IBF Bantamweight Titles)

Inoue is too strong. Inoue will win by knockout even though Donaire went the distance in their first fight. This fight probably won't last beyond the 8th round.

And then...
June 18th 2022 - Artur Beterbiev vs Joe Smith Jr (WBC, IBF and WBO Light-Heavyweight Titles)

Both of these guys hit HARD. But Artur Beterbiev, although 37 years old, should handle Smith right around the 10th or 11th with a KO or TKO.

June 18th 2022 -  Jermall Charlo vs Maciej Sulecki (WBC Middleweight Title)

Not even close. Charlo will win in a 12 round decision and might get a knockdown in an early round.

Inoue is too strong. Inoue will win by knockout even though Donaire went the distance in their first fight. This fight probably won't last beyond the 8th round.

I was right again! While Inoue won by knockout and it didn't go beyond the 8th...DAMN!!! Inoue didn't let it even get to the 3rd! LOL.

June 18th 2022 -  Jermall Charlo vs Maciej Sulecki (WBC Middleweight Title)

Not even close. Charlo will win in a 12 round decision and might get a knockdown in an early round.

This fight has been postponed due to a recent injury to Charlo.

Artur Beterbiev, although 37 years old, should handle Smith right around the 10th or 11th with a KO or TKO.

I picked the winner and that it would be a K.O. but waaaaaay earlier than I predicted (2nd round K.O.).

Tomorrow: Usyk vs Joshua II for the heavyweight championship. Usyk will win in a unanimous decision OR Joshua will gas out and go down in the 11th round.

Usyk did win, but in a split decision. One of the 3 judges robbed Usyk. Not a single expert had Joshua winning more than 4 rounds. Oh and Joshua gassed out in the 10th but he held on as Usyk beat the shit out of him in rounds 10, 11 and 12. I'm crediting myself with another successful prediction, given the asshole judge that was more than likely on the take.

The rematch will be te same. Haney will win in a unanimous decision.

• Deontay Wilder vs. Robert Helenius - Sat, Oct 15 2022

Wilder will win by knockout. Shouldn't go beyond 7 rounds.
