This issue is "solved" so maybe you could mark this post as the solution and the thread can show up as completed. In the future it would be cool to have some kind of voting mechanism. Over half of participants in the thread need to mark a thread as completed. Or, only the original poster can mark as completed. OR, better yet, when you create a thread, you can choose whether you want it to be executive style (thread poster chooses) or democratic style (majority completes).

I think this would be pretty easy to set up, eg:
-add column to thread for setting thread completion type
-add column to thread for setting thread votes, boolean in an array?
-create a route and controller for setting those values via ajax
-put the link on the page for voting based on the democratic set thread, or put completion link only for thread creator to mark as complete

I use tabs not spaces, Github doesn't like tabs. It dosen't let you set the default tab indentation. So, you could set the tab to display two spaces, but it would take less actual bites in the compiled code. Github is the empire, github is wrong. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsoOG6ZeyUI Tuesday morning is awesome for me, BTW. I go to work but mainly just for troubleshooting is someone needs me. Which, at this point in the season, no one will. So, lots of free time for a Google meet or something, may be easier to explain that way. But it's pretty easy. The reason there are 30 commits on GitHub, though, is because I forgot how webpacker worked in the actual html, lol. Anyway, I can explain that later, too. As far as styling in the text goes, yeah there's a gem for that. But I think first priority is adding a navbar to the top with links to user stuff (eg. user details page, login, logout, and signup or signin for if not logged in). I've got 20 minutes here, so I'll see how far I can get with that, first.

Holy indentation Batman! That code has some elbow room. Anyway, yeah just display login or logout forms depending on whether you're logged out or logged in respectively. I may need you to walk me through setting up the dev environment for this but I'm not going to be available until Tuesday morning. BTW this simple-ass responsive bootstrapified interface is exactly what I want to see. However, I am noticing a lack of text formatting options. They got a gem for that? Also, yeah I guess it would be nice to be able to get an email notification when someone posts.

We need to add those links to the scaffloding for the site (under "app/layouts/application.html.erb"). The page is rendered inside of that template--so we'll have to add some kind of navigation bar with logout buttons.
